Legal Prescription... or not?

Is Your Out Of State Prescription for Marijuana Valid In Oklahoma?

One municipality in Oklahoma found the statute broad enough to allow prescriptions from a "practitioner" in another state to be valid... meaning charges were dropped.

The municipality prohibits the possession of marijuana except from a prescription from a licensed practitioner. The argument was made that the prescribing Dr.'s prescription from California was valid in Oklahoma. The judge agreed.

This area of law is evolving. A skilled attorney will know how to interpret the law and provide the best defense.
