St. Patrick's Day Checkpoints and Saturation Patrols

The Governor announced statewide sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols will be conducted this coming week. Unfortunately she repeated the myth that it's illegal to drink and drive. And, unfortunately law enforcement will attempt an arrest based on an "odor" of an alcoholic beverage - alone. If you know your limits, have a plan to get safely home, and know the law you should be fine this weekend.  You should also call me if someone you know gets arrested.
